Warm & Creamy Chocolate Winter Smoothie

This creamy, warm, chocolate protein smoothie is packed full of goodness- your perfect winter breakfast. Protein, healthy fats, antioxidants, minerals, fibre. Sustained energy for your day ahead.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tblsp flax seeds
  • 1 tblsp cacao powder
  • 1/2 tsp mixed spice or cinnamon
  • 1 good pinch nutmeg
  • 2 brazil nuts (high in selenium)
  • 1 small handful of nuts- almond/cashew
  • 1.5 cups coconut milk, almond milk or rice milk (adjust to desired consistency)
  • Optional:
    • 1 scoop protein powder- vegan fermented brown rice or whey
    • 1tblsp MCT oil
    • 1 tsp honey (to taste)

Stove Method

  1. Blend for 1 minute on high speed
  2. Pour into saucepan and heat gently for several minutes until warm

Thermomix Method

  1. Blend all ingredients on speed 9 for 1 minute.
  2. Warm at 60 degrees / speed 1 / 3 mins
